BNHS is the largest Non-Government organization in the country that is actively concerned with wildlife and nature conservation. The society conducts regular nature camps to forest reserves and moutains around the country and even abroad. It conducts diploma courses in subjects like Marine bio-diversity conservation, Basic entomology and bio-diversity. It organises small day-long nature trails every weekend. These facilities are available only to members, and membership can be obtained at a nominal fee.
